Covid-19 - Business Continuity Policy

As you are aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is changing on a daily basis. We at LMI Solutions are paying close attention and taking all necessary measures in line with advice from the UK Government.

Employees, customers and suppliers please refer to the Public Health advise to safeguard our communities. We take the safety and wellbeing of our employees, customers and suppliers very seriously, in particular, we are adhering to the advice from the Government and medical experts regarding contact and cleaning regimes.

We have increased our cleaning activities and are paying particular attention to areas of contact. We encourage the use of personal sanitising alcohol-based hand gel as well as proper hand cleaning with soap as advised by the UK Government. Additionally, despite remaining a friendly and welcoming company, we request that handshakes and other physical greeting contact be avoided for the time being.  Individuals should maintain appropriate separation to avoid potential contact, and pay particular attention to this within confined spaces.

LMI has developed a Business Continuity Policy intended to:

  • Protect the welfare of our employees, customers and suppliers.

  • Ensure the business continues to operate effectively.

  • Minimise the spread of Coronavirus.

Therefore, if you have returned from an infected area abroad in the last 14 days and display any symptoms consistent with flu, fever, dry cough, sneezing or difficulty breathing, we request that you do not visit our offices in Wigan, or request that our staff visit you at your premises.

As this is a changing situation, we may need to amend or update this policy to align with the changing requirements. If you believe that you may have been exposed to the virus, please move to an isolated area away from other people for 7 days and if symptoms show notify the NHS 111 and continue isolating yourself. Please avoid touching people, surfaces and objects and adhere to the guidelines outlined below under ‘preventing the spread of infection’. Accordingly, employees are not permitted to be present in our office or visit those of our customers or suppliers and vice versa if they:

  • Have met the definition of contact with a case OR satisfy the epidemiological and clinical criteria as defined by Public Health England

  • Suffer from an acute respiratory disease

  • Have been suffering from cough, flu, fever or breathlessness within the last 14 days

Public Health England recommends the following precautions are taken to help prevent people from catching and spreading COVID-19.

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water and use alcohol-based sanitisers. This is particularly important after travelling on public transport.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve when you cough or sneeze. Do not sneeze into your hands.

  • Dispose of tissues straight away and wash your hands with soap and water.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

Flexible Working

LMI Solutions maintains a flexible attitude to remote working, and we are particularly reinforcing this approach during this period. Employees have the ability to conduct sales calls, technical support, accounts, solution designs, orders and sales discussions remotely. Currently we are fully functional and this is not in place however if the UK situation changes, remote working is our preferred approach.

Thank you for your continued support in maintaining these Health & Safety best practices.
